Instructions

How to set up (on Geotab)

  • Fleet has existing Bridgestone Toolbox accounts set up using the same email address as their Geotab account.
  • In MyGeotab, navigate to People Users & Drivers Add
  • On the new user page configure as following:
  • User (Email)
  • Unique and specific to each customer’s MyGeotab databases. Each Geotab database will have a different service account name for your solution
  • Includes “-service” in the username
  • Specifies the Partner organization name, the solution name, or both if they are different
  • Includes the customer database name if that makes the username unique
  • Note that the usernames do not need to be valid email addresses, but they can be.
  • Examples of service account username:
  • PartnerName-SolutionName-service@DatabaseName
  • Fill in the First Name and Last Name fields with whatever makes the most sense for how you, the MyGeotab admin, organize your users
  • Password
  • Create a secure password for the service account and store in your password manager of choice
  • Force password change on next login — toggle to No
  • Security clearance — View Only
  • Data access — select Everything.
  • Select “Save” at the top of the screen.


How to set up (with partner)

  • Select “Request Information” 
  • Select the appropriate tile, for “New Customer” or “Existing Customer” and complete the process.
  • The selection will connect you to a Bridgestone representative who will support you in the process of creating or connecting your Toolbox account.
